Defiance
Peter learned sometimes it's not wise to be stubborn.
Great drawing. An excellent way for this cocky young man to learn some manners, stripped to the waist and strung up on the whipping post, his bare back and shoulders presented for the lash, his shackled wrists ensuring he has to stand there and take it. He might be strong and tough, but the whip will eventually get through to him. The man directing the whipping will see to it that he loses that cocky attitude, as long as it takes, fifty lashes at a time. They'll see that he learns hsi lesson even if they have to whip the skin off his back.
